North Star is more than a service hub — it’s a place where everyone is treated with dignity, compassion, and respect. Whether guests come for a meal, a shower, or a connection to resources, they’re greeted with kindness and care.
North Star Nights
Dignity starts with feeling clean. We offer access to private showers, laundry facilities, and clean clothing so guests can refresh, wash their clothing, and maintain personal hygiene in a safe, respectful environment.

Meals & Community
Meals at North Star may look different each day, from a hearty bowl of chili to chicken tenders or a homecooked favorite, but one thing never changes: everyone has a safe, welcoming place to sit down, share a meal, and feel at home.

Community Resources
We connect individuals with local agencies and case managers who meet directly with participants at North Star. These partnerships help bridge the gap between immediate needs and long-term stability, providing support in housing, employment, healthcare, and more, all in one familiar and accessible place.

Document Assistance
Our team helps guests obtain essential documents such as IDs, birth certificates, and social security cards. These are key items often lost during homelessness and necessary for housing, employment, and benefits. As well as assistance filling out housing, and other applications.

Mobile Wellness Services
Twice a month, our site hosts mobile healthcare units that provide medical screenings and other wellness services directly to those who need them, no insurance or transportation required.

Every day, North Star runs on the kindness of volunteers who give their time to serve meals, assist with laundry, organize supplies, and simply share compassion with those we serve. Whether you can help once a week or once a month, your presence makes a difference.
North Star Nights
During the coldest months of the year, North Star transforms into North Star Nights, a cold weather shelter providing a warm, safe place to rest for those with nowhere else to go. Guests receive a meal, a comfortable place to sleep, and compassionate care from our staff and volunteers.
Even on the coldest nights, there’s always a light on at North Star.
