As the colder months approach, we're preparing to open the doors of North Star Nights, our emergency winter shelter in Seaford. And WE NEED VOLUNTEERS!
Last winter, we served approximately 80 individuals throughout the season, providing a warm, safe place to sleep, a hot meal, and a little peace of mind during some of the coldest nights of the year.
North Star Nights is an important resource in our community, but we simply cannot do it without volunteers. It takes a lot of helping hands to keep our doors open every night throughout the winter.
There are several ways you can help:
Overnight Volunteers – Help provide a safe and welcoming environment throughout the night.
Evening Check-In – Welcome participants and help get everyone settled.
Morning Relief – Help with the morning routine and reset for the daytime hours.
Dinners – Individuals, families, churches, businesses, and groups can provide an evening meal.
